L'isola di Sardegna dal punto di vista radioamatoriale gode di una certa indipendenza dalla nazione italiana è considerata un'entità separata rispetto all'Italia continentale che dista oltre 200 km.  

La Sardegna è un Country ricercato per l'ottenimento del DXCC, soprattutto nei contest e nelle attivita' radioamatoriali  come gli award's.

I radioamatori in Sardegna utilizzano solitamente il prefisso IS0 (o IM0 per le isole minori circostanti), ma da qualche anno il ministero italiano il Mimit, rilascia dei nominativi speciali come IR0 - IP0 - II0 che possono anche appartenere alla penisola, ma anche alla Sardegna.

Il nominativo unico del Challenge sarà IR0SAR , SAR come Sardegna, regolarmente registrato a lotw come country Sardegna.

Il 2026 segna un anno importante, i 10 anni del gruppo radio regionale Team DX Coros che insieme alla Sezione ARI Porto Torres organizzano il Challenge.

I certificati saranno 3 Gold, Silver e Bronze si è voluto rappresentare il nuraghe come monumento simbolo identitario della Sardegna.

Il nuraghe (o nuraghi) in Sardegna sono costruzioni megalitiche a forma di torre troncoconica uniche nel loro genere; rappresentano la civitlà nuragica Il termine “nuraghe” deriva da una parola del sardo antico, “nurra”, che significa “cumulo di pietre”.

 In Sardegna oggi ne restano circa 7000 tra quelli in ottimo stato di conservazione e i ruderi, tutti costruiti tra il 1500 e il 500 a.C.

Periodo dello svolgimento: dalle ore 6:00 UTC del 1° Marzo   alle ore 23:00 UTC del 1 Maggio 2026 .

Il Challenge Sardinia Island 2026 è aperto a tutti gli OM/YL ed SWL del mondo.

Frequenze d' uso: dai 10 ai 160 metri in HF,  VHF 50 mhz, 144 mhz  SHF satellite QO100.
Modi di emissione: SSB, CW, FT8,FT4, FT2, RTTY.

I certificati di dividono in 3 tipi: Gold, Silver e Bronze

Per l'ottenimento del Gold sono necessari   11 (Undici)  QSO  in qualsiasi modo operativo previsto dal regolamento.

Per l'ottenimento del Silver sono necessari   8 (otto)  QSO in qualsiasi modo operativo previsto dal regolamento.

Per l'ottenimento del Bronze sono necessari 5 (Cinque)   QSO in qualsiasi modo operativo previsto dal regolamento.

Le stesse stazioni possono essere ricollegare sulla stessa banda o modo in giorni diversi oppure lo stesso giorno ma in bande o modi diversi.

Per l’ottenimento del diploma cacciatori, hunters, non è necessario inoltrare l’estratto log, il
tutto viene rilevato dal log on-line sul sito mapforham.com e dai link delle pagine qrz.com.

Per gli SWL, e’ necessario inoltro estratto log alla mail iq0ak74@gmail.com  è consigliata
iscrizione al portale mapfoham.com . I QSO ascoltati verranno rilevati dagli inserimenti,

È sottointeso che una  stazione può fare QSO con lo stesso call 1 volta al giorno nella stessa banda e stesso modo. Si può collegare nella stessa banda più volte lo stesso giorno ma in modo operativo diverso.
Il certificato in formato digitale si potrà scaricare gratuitamente nei giorni successivi gratuitamente dal
portale Mapforham.com (funziona anche senza registrazione ma la consigliamo) .

From an amateur radio perspective, the island of Sardinia enjoys a certain independence from Italy and is considered a separate entity from mainland Italy, which is over 200 km away.
Sardinia is a sought-after country for obtaining DXCC, especially in contests and amateur radio activities such as awards.
Amateur radio operators in Sardinia usually use the prefix IS0 (or IM0 for the surrounding smaller islands), but for some years now, the Italian Ministry of Communications (Mimit) has been issuing special call signs such as IR0 - IP0 - II0, which can also belong to the peninsula, but also to Sardinia. 
The unique call sign for the Challenge will be IR0SAR , SAR as in Sardinia, duly registered with LOTW as the country Sardinia. 
2026 marks an important year, the 10th anniversary of the regional radio group Team DX Coros and ARMI  which organises the Challenge together with the ARI Porto Torres Section and the Coros Radio Club. 
There will be three certificates: Gold, Silver and Bronze. The nuraghe has been chosen as the symbol of Sardinia's identity. 
The nuraghe (or nuraghi) in Sardinia are unique megalithic constructions in the shape of truncated cones; they represent the Nuragic civilisation. The term “nuraghe” derives from an ancient Sardinian word, “nurra”, which means “pile of stones”.
 Today, there are about 7,000 nuraghi in Sardinia, including those in excellent condition and ruins, all built between 1500 and 500 BC.

 RULES 

Period: from 6:00 UTC on 1 March   to 23:00 UTC on 1 May 2026 .
The Challenge Sardinia Island 2026 is open to all OM/YL and SWL worldwide.
Frequencies: 10 to 160 metres in HF,  VHF 50 MHz, 144 MHz  SHF satellite QO100.
Modes: SSB, CW, FT8, FT4, FT2, RTTY.

                                                       Single call sign IR0SAR.
There are three types of certificates: Gold, Silver and Bronze. 
To obtain Gold, 11 (eleven) QSOs are required in any mode specified in the rules.
To obtain Silver, 8 (eight) QSOs are required in any mode specified in the rules.

To obtain Bronze, 5 (five) QSOs are required in any mode specified in the regulations.
The same stations can be reconnected on the same band or mode on different days or on the same day but on different bands or modes.

To obtain the hunters award, it is not necessary to submit a log extract, as
everything is recorded from the online log on the mapforham.com website and from the links on the qrz.com pages.
For SWLs, it is necessary to submit a log extract to the email address iq0ak74@gmail.com.
Registration on the mapfoham.com portal is recommended. QSO contacts heard will be recorded from the entries.

Reports: Stations will pass on the name of the correspondent and RS, RST.
It is understood that a station can make a QSO with the same call sign once a day on the same band and in the same mode. You can connect on the same band several times on the same day but in a different operating mode.
The digital certificate can be downloaded free of charge in the following days from the
Mapforham.com portal (it works even without registration, but we recommend it).
